Definately exciting! Joomla is just now on 1.5.15 and still probably that many months away from 1.6...I noticed that they thanked the drupal folks for helping them with a call to locate 4 events locations for the next year...which is really cool of drupal I think! http://community.joomla.org/blogs/community/1068-proposals-for-major-events-wanted.html
If you want a similar tool which is available now take a look at BrowserSeal. It supports Firefox, Safari, IE6, IE7 and IE8. Free trial version can be downloaded from http://www.browserseal.com
Nooo, we won't start working on creating templates from scratch until Week 9 or 10! I just wanted to make available that information for those few who are already thinking about creating their own templates; I've seen such talk on various blogs. :) It does seem a little higgelty-piggelty, but unfortunately that is almost the only way to move forwar […]
Is this something we should begin working on now? I guess I'm on WP overload at the moment :) And feeling a little lost as to where I should focus my attention first....the theme...the plugins...the content... any advice?
Ahh, "shortcode"...I have a feeling that is a new name for it. I've used it in the past but for the life of me when I searched for it I couldn't find it! All three CMS's have ways of dealing with and executing code within the main body of articles, posts, pages, and content. WordPress and Joomla usually require extensions and special […]
Thank you! I finally got it to work on its own page :) I had to create a page template - or was that for the resources category - I've learned so much today I'm having a hard time keeping track. I almost switched to the Grid Focus site! Nice. Here's my hosted site where I've been playing with a (very small - not much changes from the pare […]

I’ve tried to re-work some of my plans to reflect the new DMS Communications site I’m creating……I haven’t tried hard enough though because I still haven’t finished. The joy of working on sites without the necessity of an assignment is crushed by my procrastination and not even having a “due date” So, maybe tha […]
"...lots of life happening lately..." Okay, starting over ………again………….WAHHHH!!! DEJA VU!?! Ya, I know. So, lots of life happening lately has put my entire web design life, including my schooling, on hold! However, in all the life happenings, my husband’s business is taking off and he is in need of hi […]
I’ve found that WordPress is making me crazy and I spend so much time trying to get my blog to look just right. I spend a really long time just trying to get My New Plan page to look correct and show correctly on the menu. I was also trying to add another page for my discussion assignments, but still haven’t nailed that down. I’m just an […]
I feel like I have been spinning my wheels for the last two weeks, trying to get things moving in a forward direction. I feel like a rusty old car, pathetically trying to race down the speedway. Although it may not seem like it, I really have accomplished quite a bit: I read through all my blog posts to see what I had already covered. Man, have I had some […]
I have used Site5 for my host and my domain registrations. I chose this web host for a few reasons. It came on good recommendation from a friend, but was also reasonably priced. This has been my first experience with having to purchase a web host and, although I haven’t had much reason to contact customer service, I haven’t had any trouble yet. As much as I […]
This last year has presented more challenges than I could have ever imagined. Due to all these life circumstances, I set my schooling down for another day. That day has arrived! I’m very excited to announce that I’m finally picking up where I left off and will be completing my PHP Site Management & Theme Design course. It would be difficult […]

These links have more features than he uses, so you will have to play around a bit to find the parts you find useful. He says to keep an eye to the future – […]
